Launch of BGF

BGF_logo_paperIn April 2011, Equity Dynamics was retained to launch Business Growth Fund (BGF), a £2.5bn fund that has been established to support fast growing UK SMEs. Although independently run, BGF is backed by the UK’s five largest banking groups.

We have worked for them from inception when their CEO was their only employee until the present day. They now have a network of six regional offices and a team of 100 people; have made over 25 investments to date; and are on track to back a further 30-40 UK businesses in 2013.

The PR that we have generated has helped to build their brand and considerably raise awareness of what they can offer small and medium sized businesses. We also work closely with their investee companies, enhancing their own media profile and showcasing the value that BGF delivers as a supportive growth capital investor.

The issue of financing businesses is highly topical and as such sits at the heart of the business news agenda. As a result we are in frequent contact with high level business editors and journalists at national print and broadcast media outlets, as well as regional correspondents and sector specific trade press.

We are also well plugged into entrepreneurial networks – operating at a high political level but also direct with businesses and advisers in their local communities.

With £2.5 billion to invest, BGF is on track to become one of the UK’s leading financial institutions, with a major role to play in boosting the British economy.

They specialise in private equity, so they have true depth not just of clients but of the industry as a whole.
